Pooh and Tigger revisited...Because We Just Couldn't Resist.

Wednesday night was Manny's last football game. We did indeed dress as Pooh and Tigger. I was Pooh, Albert was Tigger. I solved the breastfeeding issue by nursing Mia in the van as soon as we arrived, before we got out.
We picked up Manny from basketball practice to head straight to his football game. He caught his first glimpse of us as we pulled up at his school, complete with our 15 passenger van filled almost to the brim with kids. He was obviously less than impressed but he really isn't one to make a scene. Plus, I think he already knows his parents are crazy. He just sort of shook his head and asked if we were serious.

We had to make a quick stop at the gas station so Tigger could have a cold beer for the game, you know, because they AREN'T allowed on the sidelines. No one mentioned anything about in the end zone.

Mommy was more than excited to have fun at the game and tease our school aged children, who's friends were sure to be in attendance...

It was cold at the game, so we quickly bundled up all of our children in the bleachers and tried our best to keep them warm. Tigger may have been feeling a bit warmer than the rest of us...I wonder why?

Tigger is such a good Daddy

The sky looked amazing as the boys got ready to play. I will miss football season. It truly is a lot of fun

The little ones were very cold...

We had a blast, even though at halftime the kids were so cold that I had to load the little ones back in the van and crank the heater. We parked near the fence so I could see the game while Tigger stalked the sidelines.
Manny had a great game. He scored two touchdowns, made a two point conversion and rushed for over 100 yards. On defense, he caused three fumbles, caught an interception (which he ran back for a TD) and had about 5 monster tackles. We were so proud of him.
Manny was overall, okay with us dressing up. Brandon was mortified. But we couldn't resist. And just for the fun of it....here's Tigger again, on the way to the game...

I don't know...isn't there a law somewhere that says Tigger shouldn't be drinking beer? :o)

Oops...didn't share the Scripture passage! Was so excited about Tigger!
Continuing to pray!
Lamentations 3:21-26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Ang- you seriously crack me up. I need to convince Paul to do this when my kids are old enough to be embarrassed.
