Well, there was definitely no UTI. No infection at all, so we were told we could discontinue the antibiotic. He has continued to run a fever, which finally broke this morning, so that is either related to the kidney issue, whatever it is, or was just a coincidental virus. No one else in the house is sick, but that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't a virus, often Brandon gets viruses that no one else seems susceptible to...
As far as the kidney situation...we did the X-ray and got the results back- no stones. So that's not the problem. I took him today back to the lab for further blood work, and tomorrow morning we begin a 24 hour urine collection (fun times). Then, Monday, he goes in for an ultrasound of his kidney. Pending the results of those tests, we go from there and see what else, if anything we need to do. We're hoping we can get to the bottom of this soon. I'll update again as soon as we have more info...

Glad to see that some serious potential problems have been ruled out. I too hope that it turns out to be something that can just be treated with an antibiotic.
