My Baby is 14!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW!!!! My sweet little boy is 14 years old in just a few minutes. How time flies! I remember fourteen years ago when the nurses handed him to me, he was just a sweet little bundle weighing in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 20 inches long. Now he is 195 pounds and just about as tall as me. How did that happen.
Fourteen years ago, he used to sleep in a little white crib, decorated with green, blue, yellow and pink jungle- themed bedding, just across the room from my bed. He never seemed to need much sleep and always woke up around midnight and wanted to "play" until 3:00 or 4:00. I remember being always tired! He was so sweet, and cute and a little bit cross-eyed. He was a happy baby and loved to laugh and really loved to be held! He loved me more than anything else in the world.
Now he is fourteen and loves Mariah Carey more than anything! He is tall and handsome and polite and sweet and I am sooooo proud of him. He is spending this birthday in Knoxville with Nana and Katie and Ashley and some of his cousins. While I was a bit sad that he didn't want to come home, I totally understand. I loved spending part of the summer with my grandparents too when I could and I never wanted to come home either! There is something fun and carefree about Grandma's house and I'm glad he's getting to experience it. We had a birthday dinner for him a couple days ago while we were in Knoxville picking up Brice and Brandon (so we did get to spend some time with him). He'll be home in a couple of weeks and we'll get to celebrate some more. Happy Birthday Drew! My very first baby! You are so special to me and to Daddy and to all of your little brothers and sisters! We love you!
