Tomorrow begins many things for us... for starters school and work is back in session. Albert and I are both really dreading it. Really dreading it. We have LOVED having the whole family together. We've been camping out in the living room watching movies together at night, eating junk food and drinking sodas late into the night. This of course brings me to the next reason tomorrow is significant...our diets start tommorow. Both of us. Both of our weights have gotten out of hand and its time to do something about it. Finally I'm not pregnant, nor expecting to get pregnant anytime soon so this is the time. We are making healthier choices for the whole family. Obviously none of the children need to be on a diet but they do need to eat healthier. Diabetes runs in both sides of our families so odds are at least one of our kids will face this challenge one day. We want them to have the powerful tools of good nutrition and a strong habit of excersize already on their side.
On a side note, I want to give a "shout out" to my MOM! As you can see there are no pictures of her on our Christmas video...she wasn't thrilled about this...however its because I have no recent pics of her with the kids...this will get remedied the next time we see her (hopefully March)...also when I first updated the "important dates" section of our site, I forgot her birthday!!! This is now fixed as well. Anyhow, I want to tell everyone how special Nana is and how much we ALL love her. Even Albert who banters back and forth with her CONSTANTLY, often tells me how much he really loves her and wishes we saw her more often.
Anyhow, Nana is the best. At our house we are on the phone with Nana every day. Every single day. She doesn't just talk to us...she talks to the kids frequently as well. Next to Albert and I, our kids look to my mom as the most important person in their lives. My Mom loves my children, and my sisters' chilren more than I could ever describe. She is always there for me...ALWAYS.
So, Mom...THANK YOU for everything that you do. We love you!

oh honey, I hear you I'm dreading tomorrow too. I start the Martha Stewart detox tomorrow morning and we are back to homeschooling too. Give me strength.
Your mum sounds fabulous. Can't wait to see photos up here.
ARE'NT MOMS GREAT? WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT THEM?.....DIABETES ALSO RUNS IN OUR FAMILY AND I HAVE A FEAR THAT I WILL HAVE IT ONE DAY...I'LL JUST DO LIKE YOU SAID AND TRY TO MAKE HEALTHIER CHOICES.
What a lovely tribute to your mom :)
And that Angela, this is why you get 34%. You could teach your sisters a thing or two about singing my praises - even if they are an after thought !!
love you so much,
Mom
